‘Super Sabres Complete Historic Flight
HAHN AIR FORCE BASE, Germany, Feb. 28 Eighteen United States air force Super Sabre jets landed here today after a 4000 mile flight from South Carolina that included a history making hop over the southern Atlantic.
In a mobility test of the tactical air command, the jets of the 307th fighter bomber squadron took off Tuesday from Myrtle Beach, S C., for the first nonstop transatlantic mass flight by F100s to Morocco.
The flight took 7 hours and 24 minutes including refuelings.’
