“Pete” Everest What a great man; a good friend, and neighbor! My parents moved near Pete’s parent’s home in Fairmont, WV when I was in the 3rd or 4th grade. Pete was in high school. Back in the early 40’s I would, at times, sit and watch Pete build model air planes on their dinning room table. When in the Army Air Corps he would, a few times, put on his own air show over our two homes. His younger brother, Don, and I were the best of friends for many years. In fact, he was my “Best Man” when my wife, Barbara, and I were married way back in 1954.
