LTC Charles E. Parsons (L), commander of the 62nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron, stands in front of one of the unit’s F-86As. The squadron was officially based at O’Hare between August 1950 and September 1959. Parsons commanded the 62nd between April 1950 and September 1951, when he was succeeded by MAJ Harold M. Wilson. At the time of the photo, the 62nd FIS was under direct assignment to the 30th Air Division; possibly Gullige was a staff member.
